Hi Gilang,
It was a great trip with a very good guide Mas Heru. We certainly would like to visit the place again to climb Mt Semeru in future.

Thanks for the arrangement again.

Cheers

Eddie kindly asked myself and my husband to give comments on our experience and if anything could be improved.

My personal comments are: I have absolutely loved this adventure! the crew were all very helpful, always there with smile and working very hard. The boat was kept extremely clean at all times. Clearly there is a lot of pride in what they do. Improvements? None. The crew and itinerary were perfect to say that seeing Orangutans and other wildlife was spectacular, goes without saying. What made our experience so perfect, unique, memorable and inspiring was Eddie,  Gilang and the rest of the Mama one(1) crew!

I can't thank you enough for helping to make my honeymoon the best if could possibly be and over all one of the most memorable and special adventurer of my
life.

Much kindness and humble, Thanks, Serenity Tunks. PS: i will miss the amazing meals on the boat! Can we pinch the chef and take him home!

BORNEO ORANGOTANGHI E DESTINAZIONI REMOTE - Agosto 2010 - Elena and Alan

Carissimo Gilang,

- Excellent service, delicious food, very informative and welcoming.

- We felt comfortable and well looked after.

- We did not mean to offend by not eating all the food, we were simply too full to eat more. Raphaelle had had a poor appetite for several days before we boarded the boat. I was trying t eat her share as well as my own, but i am small and cannot eat a lot.

- I wish everybody well and thank you all. It has been a wonderful holiday for me: no shopping. cooking, cleaning or washing!

Orang Utan Trip Borneo Indonesia
Kumai Pangkalan Bun Centre of Borneo Indonesia - 26 July 2010

Kristen and I had a fantastic time on our Orangutan trip.

Gilang, Eddy and the crews treated us with so much care and respect that i can't think of anything that needs to be changed.

The food was delicious and there was always much more than we could eat.

Eddy shared his knowledge of the area with us and was always happy to answer our questions.

Ujie and Sanny were always there to help and masrun is one of the best cooks ever!

Thank you to all of you for making our trip so special. I nearly forgot Gilang, he is the one who made it all happen.

Orangutan Borneo Trip
Kumai Pangkalan Bun Centre of Borneo Indonesia - 28 July 2010

Gilang, just picked this up. We had a wonderful time in Tanjung Puting. Dodi, and the rest of the crew made it a truly memorable experience. Just had a bit of a problem with the flight back. It didn't depart until 11:55 (not 10) and then all the flights were supposedly full to Denpasar.. Fortunately we got a couple of tickets on standby, and the important thing is we're finally in Ubud. Looking forward to the Komodo trip!Regards,Paul

Dear Gilang,

Thanks for writing and checking up on us.
The Dragons, dolphins, snorkeling, and trekking were over the top wonderful. We had a small group of about 13 so for us perfect. Indonesia is an incredible place.

Your actual boat crew was good a nice group who worked hard. They were very nice to my boy and made the trip very special.

Thank you Dani and Gilang + The crew for a wonderful experience. We could not have wished for anything more...

we have seen many animals: long-tailed monkey, Squirrel, Snakes, Monitor lizard, Kingfisher, Asian hornbill, Butterfly + Fire ants. But of course we came here to observe the rare and endangered Orangutan and we were not dissappointed. Watching the mthers care for their babies, the dominant males exerting their authority, the young ones playing together, we were able to get an idea of the importance of these creatures to the world.

We walked through the jungle, planted a Nyatu tree each and watched fire flies light up the night. The boat was comfortable at day and night and i thank the chef especially for all the wonderful meals. Waking in the early morning to the sound of gibbon calling from the forest is something that i will miss.

Hi Gilang!!!!!!!

Its Dale from Melbourne in Australia (Tanjung Puting 1996!!!!!!!!!!!)

Its been a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnng time since we spoke (by mail) - perhaps 5 years!.

Not sure whether I lost your address or what happened. Last thing I recall is you travelled to Timor about 2000ish and were staying I think with your uncle in Lombok (maybe - not sure). Perhaps you were travelling around too much so couldn't contact you.

Anyway I was surfing the web looking at Tanjung Puting and after seeing a recent photo of Andi thought I'd see if your name came up on Google. And sure enough it did. Seems you are doing well with your tours everywhere inlcuding some tours back in Tanjung Puting. Sounds like a great job!

Adriana and I went back to Tanjung Puting in May 2004 with our daughter and we asked around about you but it seems you were probably not back doing tours into the park then. We stayed at Tanjung Harapan again, though they had to find some broken beds for us as it had become rundown with holes everywhere and was no longer in use for visitors. We had a good time again though with bats flying around our room and lots of spiders!! At that time there was Adung, Butet and Daniel being fed at Harapan. I read Adung and Butet got sick a bit later in 2004 or 2005 and had to be caged for about a year but hopefully they're ok now.

We stayed about 5 days and the Project Manager lady there showed us around a bit.

Anyway we're still in Melbourne, although Adriana and I separated February last year. Our daughter Amber's 9 years old and we also have a son Jesse who is 2 and a half.

I've attached some photos from our first visit to Tanjung Puting in 1996 (some with you with longggg hair) then our 2004 visit and from 2008.

Anyway hope to hear from you.

Cheers

Dale

Dear Gilang

Hello!

I was thinking of writing you and letting you know the great experience we’ve had.

Not only we loved your country, but the Orangutan Tour was way beyond what we expected. We were very lucky because we got to see many different species and our guide was really nice! Also the captain, the cook, and the crew!

We also want to let you know that as soon as we reached Bali I began feeling sick, and finally when we reached Puerto Rico we found out we are going to become parents!!!!!!!!!!!!! So…what more magic can we ask of a trip????

We thank you for all the hard work you put on your job, and for fulfilling one of my greatest dreams in the world: watching the Orangutans up close and personal!!!!

Hope business goes well!

Regards

Mislael, Soledad and the new member of the family (expected for first days of March!)

Ps: We took so many pictures, I am still choosing the best to send them to you!

Hello Gilang,
I'm finally getting back to you after too much time in my regular world. I sent a few photos of our adventure. We had hundreds. If you want any type of photos in particular let me know and I can send a high quality version. These are sent at lower quality for email purposes.

So..............the trip was awesome. The orangutangs-many wild ones!-other wildlife both seen and heard, were wonderful and plentiful. Barking deer, gibbons, hornbills, probiscius monkeys. The boat, crew and food was excellent. I could have spent a few more days cruising that way! Ferry was top notch. He certianly has a large grasp on the world and his environment. We loved him! Definitely a great choice on your part. The village was a great way to experience the local flavor. As you can see I was game for the sauna-Gig only did the massage. The trek was challenging :) and the jungle was wonderful.....even the swamp part. The trekking guides were wonderful and again the food great. I was impressed by the quality of the tents. If there was anything that could have been improved on it would have great to camp more in the "rimba". I do understand all parks have lots of rules about such things like here. We were able to hear allot of wildlife from our camp. The kids were great too. I learned allot and I think they were real curious about Americans.

So it is something I would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about experiencing the jungle and wildlife in Borneo. After we traveled on to Sarawak, Sabah and Brunei we knew we had made a great choice with your trip. I will say the jungle in Brunei is spectacular (more mountainous) there just isn't much of it.

I hope all is well with you. We had 8" of snow several days after our return! Quite a shock for our systems. Stay in touch and let me know if you want any photos.

Thanks again for all your help, correspondence and understanding. We enjoyed every minute.

To Gilang

The holiday was great I really enjoyed it. The komodo island boat trip was brilliant with great snorkelling and of course the dragons. Borneo was fantastic and we saw a lot of wildlife. The Rinjani Trek was tiring but also rewarding and quite good fun.
