Lombok Rice Field Terraces Sightseeing

Hati Suci means “holy heart” in Indonesian. Situated on the crest of a hill, the astounding beauty washes through you and fills you with a feeling of peace and fullness. That’s how we chose the name!

Located on the east side of Lombok Island in the village of Sapit, Hati Suci is about 1,000 meters above sea level. Turning in a circle you see the sunrise, terraced rice fields dotted with coconut palm trees that cascade down to the ocean. You can see Sumbawa Island, Lombok’s very large neighbor to the east. Turn more, you see hills blanketed in lush vegetation and the majestic Mountain Rinjani behind.

Hati Suci is about 60 kilometers from Mataram. We’ll be happy to tell you the best transport methods to suit your needs. Lombok is a quick 25 minute flight from Denpasar Bali or an all day experience on the local ferry that leaves from Padangbai, Bali and arrives at Lembar Harbor on Lombok.

Rinjani is a famous climbing destination and the staff can arrange an entire climb as far as the top or the rim. The best times to climb are from April through October. For more information on trekking Rinjani please email us.

Our guests (many have become like family!) rave about our beautiful setting and comfortable rooms and great food in our restaurant. Always smiling and accommodating, the Noor family and staff, share their life, culture and special places of interest to see. You can experience daily life of the village, unspoiled nature. If you timing is right you might even be there during some cultural or wedding ceremony that you will likely be invited to attend.

You can also just sit on your veranda and soak in the surroundings!

You don’t need air conditioning in this tropical “hill station” climate, cool and fresh. A light sweater or jacket is good to have but if you forget, just toss a sarong or one of our ikat blankets over you and you’re set.

Itinerary
Day 01: Lombok airport - Hati Suci Home stay.
Upon arrival at Lombok airport, Greet and meeting service with our guide (Japanese, German, Dutch, English speaking guide are available) then directly transfer to East of Lombok by private car equipped with air condition. It takes us 2 hours drive to Hati Suci home stay. Arrived at Hati Suci home stay and check-in and rest with stunning rice field view surrounding the Home stay. Fresh cool air with Rinjani mountain and Sumabawa island overlooking to the sea. (D)

Day 02: Hati Suci - Small Canyon - Hati Suci.
Breakfast at Hati Suci (pure heart), then our local guide will take you to the small canyon with magnificent view. It takes 2,5 hours walk to the canyon. On the way, you will pass Hello village and involve with local villager and children. arrived at Canyon, swim in the pristine water and enjoy your time. by Lunch time back to Hati Suci. (B, L, D).

Day 03: Hati Suci explore
Breakfast and explore the villages and do not miss the spectacular mount rinjani background in the morning. best time to take picture. Lunch time back to Hati suci. Relax and time is your own. best time to read a book. (B, L, D)

Day 04: Hati Suci - Hot Spring - Sembalun Village.
Breakfast, we will have joy ride hiking to the hill of Sembalun with passing greenary of Mount Rinjani slope. On the way, we will stop and walk to Hot spring, you may swim in the hot spring. Then walk back the same path, we joy ride to up hill of Sembalun. View are awesome from top hill of sembalun with overlooking to the villages. Afternoon back to the Home stay before the mist is covering the sky. (B, L, D)

Day 05: Hati Suci - Airport
Breakfast, then leaving the Home stay to Mataram airport for your next flight. (B) - Tour End or Extension with Rinjani Trekking
