Borneo Dayak Longhouse Tour
Dayak is a biggest group in Borneo island. In Kapuas Hulu- West Kalimantan, at least 20 tribes of Dayak with different language, tradition, and culture. Longhouse (betang) is an artistic home of majority of Dayak. The livelihood of the communities at the longhouse is unique, full of tolerance, and hospitalities. Some of oldest longhouses with big and long pillars are still available and kept by the local community and accessible.

Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Pontianak - Hotel
Picked up and directly transfer to hotel, resting. afternoon,
sightseeing around pontianak city.
Pontianak is the capital of the Indonesia province of West
Kalimantan. It is a medium-size industrial city on the island of
Borneo, among Indonesian, Borneo Island is called Pulau Kalimantan.
Pontianak occupies an area of 107.82 km² in the delta of the Kapuas
River, at approximately 1143 km, the longest river in Indonesia and
the 138th-longest river in the World by length. It is located
precisely on the equator, hence widely known as Kota Khatulistiwa
(Equator City).
Day 02: Pontianak Hotel - Airport - Putussibau Pangsuma Airport -
Long House
Arrival to Putussibau. Land journey to the long house. Dayak
performance to welcome the guests, dances, music and traditional
welcome drink. Sense the neighborhood of the longhouse, taking bath,
swimming, white water boating/canoeing on the river. Spend your
night in a hospitality and simple livelihood of Dayak. ( D)
Day 03: Long House Tours and Sightseeing
Following the activities of local community (hunting, fishing,
making trap, working at the farm, etc) and discover how the local
make their equipment. (B, L, D)
Day 04 : Long House – Putussibau
Depart for Putussibau. Resting at Melati hotel, free time to explore
Putussibau town.( B, L, D)
Day 05: Putussibau - Pontianak Hotel
Depart for Pontianak hotel. Tour ends. (B)
